Master's Degree
The Sociology Master's Program aims to provide education that encourages the development of original theoretical approaches by identifying Turkey's current sociological phenomena and structural characteristics through field studies based on sufficiently focused, concrete data evaluation. In this regard, it aims to support studies that utilize scientific research methods and contribute to their development by creating conceptualizations. Thus, it is accepted as a fundamental principle that a multi-faceted approach should be adopted to enable sociological issues to be understood through concrete practical requirements, conceptualizations that encompass these at an abstract level, and methodological tools that constitute units of analysis. The program assumes equal importance for practical, theoretical, and methodological components and aims to conduct concrete field research with a sufficiently original and limited scope.
