Bachelor's Degree
The aim of the department is primarily to introduce the basic concepts and analytical tools of the discipline of sociology and then to provide a threefold education through the study of specific social processes: theoretical, methodological, and practical.
Theoretical training will equip students who wish to conduct academic-level studies not only in sociology but also in other areas of social sciences with the necessary knowledge, methods, and techniques.
Methodological training will enable our students to work in various fields (universities, public or private research institutions, non-governmental organizations) where scientific research methods are used.
Practical training will provide our students with the necessary mental tools and concepts to understand and evaluate the functioning of social mechanisms, the behaviors and mindsets of different social actors, as well as to conceptualize the general functioning of political, social, and economic life, regardless of their post-university work and areas of interest.
