Study day: Gouverner l’après-séisme : mobilisations, vulnérabilités et justice

This study day, organized as part of the GOVRISK project (Gouverner les catastrophes : la construction sociale du risque après une catastrophe) and the Erasmus Blended Intensive Program (BIP) “Risques et catastrophes : une exploration sociologique” offers an interdisciplinary reflection on the forms of governance, mobilization, and repair that emerge in post-disaster contexts.
Researchers in sociology, urban planning, political science, and architecture will analyze recent earthquakes in Turkey and elsewhere as indicators of structural crises, but also as moments when the relationships between the state, civil society, and justice are redefined.
The event will be held on Friday, November 7, 2025, from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., in the Aydın Doğan and Münevver Soylu lecture halls at Galatasaray University.
